This tea towel features artist Maizie Clarke's illustration of the Spur, the last remaining section of the original High Line rail structure. Opened in June 2019, the Spur is a public space made for people, featuring a wide piazza with panoramic views up and down 10th Avenue and 30th Street. It is also home to the Plinth, a dedicated site for monumental artworks curated by High Line Art. Maizie's illustration highlights the Spur's unique space within NYC and features Simone Leigh's Brick House, the inaugural commission for the High Line Plinth.
Maizie Clarke started by illustrating whimsical, custom house portraits, and has now grown and expanded her portfolio to include boutiques, hotels, museums, parks and more. Maizie is headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, where she lives with her four-legged good luck charm, Hattie.
