Vivian Suter is known for her abstract paintings that mirror the lush landscape of Panajachel, Guatemala, her home of over 30 years. She invites natural elements to become part of her paintings, allowing mud, leaves, wind, rain, and falling fruit to mark the work. Hung as a series of unstretched canvases above the southernmost entrance to the park, Suter’s contribution to group show En Plein Air acts as joyful welcome banners to visitors entering the park.
For the shop, we’ve reproduced Suter’s imagery onto two soft modal scarves, evoking the gradations in color that occur as the seasons shift in the park’s natural gardens.
