About
Jiaqi Wang
Jiaqi Wang (Ja-chi) is a Chinese-born, New York-based illustrator and animator. Jiaqi dives into a world where vivid colors meet crisp, clean lines, creating storytelling work that captures the joy.
Her artistic process extends beyond the canvas as she fearlessly plays with perspective and weaves tales through a diverse cast of characters. Jiaqi's unique approach has garnered recognition from institutions like ADC and Young Gun.
From the corners of glossy magazines to the walls of your city, she collaborated with clients such as Nike, Apple, Olympic, The New York Times, and more.
Jiaqi provided illustrations for the High Line's Nature in the City exhibit celebrating horticulture in the city. This exhibit includes a dramatic 180-foot mural lining the park’s 14th Street Passage, 44 new educational signs positioned throughout the park, scavenger hunts, and discussions led by seasoned experts in ecological gardening.
Through this exhibit, Friends of the High Line is excited to showcase the tenacious spirit of nature in the most densely populated and heavily developed city in the country. Parkgoers will deepen their appreciation for the plants, insects, and birds that call green spaces like the High Line home.

The High Line was once a railway that provided vital services to the entire city. Today, the High Line as a park and community organization continues to serve as an integral resource for the West Side of Manhattan and beyond.
Our programs invite New Yorkers to reimagine what public space can be, and transform the High Line into a platform for all stories and voices. We offer free, dynamic, and intergenerational community programming on and off the park in partnership with neighboring community-based organizations.
