About the Collection

Dinosaur

Featuring the art of Iván Argote, our Dinosaur collection features the famous 21-foot tall “big pigeon” from the fourth High Line Plinth commission. A celebration of the humble, oft-maligned pigeon, Argote’s sculpture garnered a lot of love from New Yorkers and tourists alike.

Reflecting on the work’s title, Argote notes, “The name Dinosaur makes reference to the sculpture’s scale and to the pigeon’s ancestors who millions of years ago dominated the globe, as we humans do today… the name also serves as a reference to the dinosaur’s extinction. Like them, one day we won’t be around anymore, but perhaps a remnant of humanity will live on—as pigeons do—in the dark corners and gaps of future worlds. I feel this sculpture could generate an uncanny feeling of attraction, seduction, and fear among the inhabitants of New York.”

How much is shipping? Does my order qualify for free shipping?

For domestic orders, we offer flat-rate shipping. Standard Shipping (3-5 business days) is $10. Orders of $100 or more qualify for free standard shipping. Priority Shipping (2 business days) is $20 and Express Shipping (1-2 business days) is $35.

For international shipping, we calculate shipping for each order based on package size & weight and destination. Duties & fees included in price for ease.

What's your return policy?

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. If your return is eligible, you will receive a refund for the full amount of your purchase, minus the original shipping cost. The cost of the return shipping label will also be deducted from your refund.

To start a return, you can contact us at shop@thehighline.org. If your return request is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Where is the High Line Shop located? What are its hours?

For most of the year, you can find us on the High Line just south of 16th street. The nearest entrances to the park are at 16th Street (stair access) and 14th Street (elevator & stair access). The High Line Shop is open on the High Line April through October, daily from 10am – 6pm.
